Our story began in October 2022 when we first met at his apartment. Neither of us could have imagined that one simple meeting would become the start of a lifetime together.

In the beginning, we spent nearly every evening together. For a month, our favorite tradition was grabbing late-night meals at Denny's or IHOP. Those nights quickly became about so much more than the food. We would spend hours talking, laughing, and getting to know one another. Looking back, those simple moments became the foundation of our relationship.

As our relationship grew, so did the people who became part of our story. He met my parents over dinner at a Mexican restaurant, and from the very beginning, they welcomed him with open arms. Not long after, they invited him to join our extended family for my grandfather's celebration of life. It was during those moments that it became clear he wasn't just becoming part of my life—he was becoming part of my family.

Over the next few years, we built a relationship grounded in love, trust, and always showing up for one another. We celebrated life's happiest moments together and leaned on each other through its hardest ones.

On June 26, 2025, he asked me to marry him on my family's property in Navasota, a place filled with so many treasured memories. It was the perfect place to begin the next chapter of our lives together, and a moment we will always hold close to our hearts.

The following year brought unimaginable heartbreak with the loss of both my mom and dad. Although they are no longer here to celebrate this day with us, their love, guidance, and the way they welcomed him into our family will always be part of our story. We know they would be smiling, proud to see the life we have built together and the future we are beginning.

From late-night breakfasts at Denny's and IHOP to quiet evenings, family gatherings, joyful milestones, and seasons of grief, every step has strengthened our bond. Through it all, we've learned that love isn't just about the big moments—it's about choosing each other every single day.
